The late People’s Artist Fuad Poladov, a renowned theater and film actor, has been honored by having a street named after him in the Yasamal district of Baku. The newly named Fuad Poladov Street, located in the Yeni Yasamal settlement, pays tribute to the remarkable contributions of this talented individual.
A Legacy of Artistic Excellence
Fuad Agharahim oglu Poladov was born on May 24, 1948, in Baku, where he began his journey in the world of performing arts. Graduating from Secondary School No. 132, he further honed his craft at the Adil Isgandarov Acting Studio at the renowned “Azərbaycanfilm” film studio named after Jafar Jabbarly. His dedication to his art led him to pursue formal training at the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts, where he studied drama and film acting from 1967 to 1972.
Poladov’s illustrious career took off in 1966 when he made his debut in the film “The Investigation Continues,” portraying the character of Salim. Under the guidance of his mentor Tofiq Kazimov, he showcased his talent on stage as Savalan in the play “Destroyed Diaries” at the Academic National Drama Theater. This marked the beginning of a fruitful collaboration with the theater, where he remained a pivotal member of the acting ensemble until 1989.
